Před dávnými časy, kdy se ve vesnicích ještě žilo bez spěchu a lidé si vážili přírody, ležel v jedné malé obci na Vsetínsku hladinný Náhon. Byl to úžasný potůček, který měl sílu přinášet život a radost do okolních polí a luk. V jednom domě nedaleko Náhonu žila rodina se třemi dětmi - Janem, Klárou a Filipem. Ti se každodenně vydávali k Náhonu, kde se radostně koupali a hráli se ve vodě. Milovali tento krásný potůček a cítili, že je něco zvláštního na jeho čistotě a energii. Jednoho dne, když se děti opět vydaly ke svému oblíbenému místu u Náhonu, zaslechli z vody slabé volání. Překvapení se rozhodli následovat zvuk až k jednomu menšímu vodopádu. A tam na vodním toku spatřili malého vodního skřítka. Skřítek se jmenoval Zvonko a byl to ochránce Náhonu. Nikdo ho nikdy předtím neviděl a měl mocné kouzelné schopnosti. Zvonko dětem řekl, že Náhon je v nebezpečí, protože někdo umístil na jeho prameni tajemný kouzelný kámen, který mu ubírá sílu. Bez této síly se Náhon ocitá v ohrožení a postupně ztrácí svou čistotu a životodárnou sílu. Děti slíbily Zvonkovi, že mu pomohou. Společně se vydaly hledat pramen Náhonu, aby odstranily kouzelný kámen. Cestou potkávaly různé zvířata, která jim ukazovala správný směr. Po dlouhém putování konečně dorazily k pramenu, kde před nimi stál křišťálově čistý jezírka a v jeho středu se lesklil kouzelný kámen. Díky své odvaze a nebojácnosti děti dokázaly kámen vyjmout. Okamžitě pocítili, jak Náhon nabyl nové síly a jeho voda se rozprskla do nebe, tvoříc krásné duhové oblouky. Děti se vrátily k Zvonkovi a předaly mu kámen. Zvonko byl nesmírně šťastný a dětem poděkoval za jejich statečnost. Přislíbil jim, že se o Náhon bude nadále starat a odmění je za jejich pomoc. A tak se stal Náhon ještě krásnějším a silnějším než kdy předtím. Od té doby si děti na každém kroku vážily vody, přírody a Náhonu. Všechny vesničany si z příběhu vzali ponaučení o důležitosti ochrany přírody a životodárných zdrojů. A tak to byla pohádka o Náhonu, kterou děti vyprávěly dalším generacím, aby si i ony pamatovaly, jakou sílu může přinášet ochrana a respektování přírody.
